What I’ve Learned From My Dad

Happy Father’s Day!

My dad was born and raised in Farmington. He has always loved being outside, going biking, buying speakers, watching movies, and spending time with our family. He is also a self-proclaimed nerd who loves all things Star Wars, programming, math, and physics. Trust me when I say he is a true nerd at heart!

That is exactly how he got his start in engineering. He loves solving problems, which is what he did for many years after graduating. In 2020, amidst widespread layoffs, he decided it was the perfect time to leap into a long-held dream and start his own company. That is how ZiaTech got started.

ZiaTech began as a solo automation company with just my dad. Today, it has grown to include a team of eight automation engineers and four software developers. About a year ago, he expanded our services even further by launching the IT side of the business.

It has been incredible to watch my parents achieve one of their biggest dreams. My dad has always been the ultimate example of what it looks like to work hard and have integrity, and I am so grateful for him.
